Watsonville Mural Archive

This mural was originally conceived and panted by Carmen Leon in 1976 but it was eventually painted over when the elementary school became an adult school. Paul De Worken and Jaime Sanchez later re-painted the mural in the 2000s using Carmen’s original mural plans. They also added thier own elements and style to the imagery, which is the mural now visible. Listen to the interview below to learn more about this mural.
