Yesenia was born and raised in Watsonville California. She attended Alianza charter school, E.A. Hall middle school, Watsonville High School, and just recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Latina/Latino studies and a minor in Race and Resistance studies. She acknowledges that she wouldn't have made it to where she is now if it wasn't for the people who were put in her life to help her along the way. Yesenia fights systemic oppression every day, by encouraging young people to find them selves and be proud.
